When I think about where most of my costume inspiration comes from, it always starts with the big screen. Movies have given us some of the most iconic looks in history, from classic horror villains to glamorous stars and unforgettable heroes. A single character design can define an entire decade of costume culture, and I love revisiting those timeless movie icons whenever I need a spark.
Step Into a World of Costume Inspiration
Video games carry that same kind of power, but in a different way. They let me step directly into a character’s shoes, guiding their journey and then recreating it in real life. There’s something special about translating pixels and polygons into fabric and props—whether it’s a retro favorite or a modern gaming legend, these costumes always connect me back to the worlds I’ve played in.
Of course, some of my favorite boards aren’t about famous names at all—they’re about creativity. DIY Hacks show me that the best costumes can come from the simplest materials. Old shirts, craft supplies, and even recycled items can transform into something unique. For me, these hacks are reminders that costumes don’t always need a big budget; they just need imagination.
